Johanne falls in love for the first time, with her teacher. To preserve her feelings, she documents her emotions and experiences in writing. When her mother and grandmother read what she has written, they are initially shocked by its intimate content but soon see that it has literary potential. As they debate whether to publish it, Johanne navigates the gap between her romantic fantasy and reality, and all three women confront their differing views on love, sexuality, and self-discovery.

DREAMS (SEX LOVE) is part of the SEX-LOVE-DREAMS trilogy of director Dag Johan Haugerud.

ABOUT HOMESICK [https://www.ethosbooks.com.sg/products/homesick]

homesick is multidisciplinary artist nor’s electrifying poetry collection, an ode to the growing pains of every 20-something’s search for love and belonging. Spurred by desire, the journey to belonging unfolds against the backdrop of the heartbreaking now, a time and space shaped by the fantasies of pop culture and the State. But it is exactly when love feels out of reach that the revelations sneak in. To be homesick, it turns out, is also to laugh when it seems most absurd. With a voice both tender and bold, nor takes us through the highs and lows of coming of age. Bittersweet and outrageous, homesick is a poetry debut poignant and pulsing with hope.

"As the precocious writer in Johanne learns to enjoy the unfamiliar shape and contours of a broken heart, the impetuous girl in her aggrievedly swears that she’ll never love quite this way again. She may be right. But “Dreams” leaves her, and us, with plenty to feel besides.”

" warm, generation-specific melancholy that made fellow Norwegian title “The Worst Person in the World” an arthouse hit"
