This tells the story of a debt collector Karel, his 80-year old mother Mathilde - a former choir singer - and his teenage son Pavel. The three come together when Mathilde develops Alzheimer’s disease, loses her apartment and Karel has to take her in. Unable to take care of his mother, he reaches out to his son to help his sick grandmother. As the illness progresses, crises and conflicts arise in this tragi-comic story that has more twists and turns than life itself.
